New Members Wanted!
Student-led, Student-run.
The Ramblin' Rocket Club is Georgia Tech's largest multidisciplinary aerospace student organization.
New to aerospace? No problem. We give members the freedom to build what they want, and our project portfolio allows new members to quickly gain a range of exposure to aeronautical and engineering principals.
Projects you can Choose
The Ramblin' Rocket club contains four distinct project groups who develop an array of aerospace technologies ranging from GNC to hypersonic staging, and even weather balloons.
GTXR
Georgia Tech Experimental Rocketry
GTXR is a fully student-led team with the goal of launching a two-stage sounding rocket to the edge of space. Everything from design and analysis to manufacturing and testing is done in-house thanks to our amazing members. GTXR has launched six large missions and an assortment of smaller ones to build up the technologies that will enable them to reach their ultimate goal. Join us on our journey to the Karman Line!
GNC
Guidance Navigation and Controls
GNC builds rockets of varying sizes for active controls, with its main goal of attitude stabilization and precise maneuverability. These rockets are equipped with various forms of control systems, including active fin-control, gimballed thrust-vectoring, and jet-vanes. GNC welcomes any major and background experience in its ambitious journey to become the first collegiate team to launch jet-vanes technology.
